The Roasting Plank Sweet and Spicy Rub

 

 

Every time you make a rub it will always come out slightly different and , for us, that is a good thing.  It all depends what you have in the cupboard and whether you like your rub with or without chilli or garlic etc. 

 

     Ingredients

 

 

2 tbsp brown sugar

1/2 tbsp ground sea salt

1 tbsp ground mixed pepper

1 tbsp crushed mustard seeds

1 tbsp crushed coriander seeds

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp crushed chilli flakes

1 tbsp dried dill

1/2 tsp crushed cumin seeds

1/4 tsp cinnamon

 

 

                      

           

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and the use as a sweet and spicy rub on your chicken, pork, vegetables or steak.

If you've made too much then put the rest into an air tight container and place in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months
