Cooking on Wood BBQ Demonstration
It is a hard life when your work is the very thing you love the most - barbecuing.
Since cooking on wood is such a new way of cooking in the UK, I am being asked to do more and more cooking on wood BBQ demonstrations at our Garden Centre stockists. This is a fantastic way, not only to show how to cook on wood, but also to demonstrate and discuss with customers how to BBQ successfully, charcoal vs gas, the versatility of modern BBQing and getting people to taste fantastic recipes such as :

I had a great three days cooking on wood on my favourite Weber BBQ and showing Garson's customers the versatility of using modern BBQS, handing out tasters and discussing the range of fantastic recipes that can be cooked on a BBQ using wood. 'We met you on Saturday and today at Garson's in Titchfield . I have just finished eating a lovely dinner cooked on top of a couple of your planks on our gas BBQ.
The steak was very juicy, our field mushrooms topped with goats cheese were fab and, if we hadn't spoken to you for over 30 mins on Saturday, we would never of thought of cooking Avocado and Kiwi Fruit on the BBQ, both of which were to die for.
We did pig out tonight and had Salmon and Prawns with the Avocado as well - all of the food was juicy and tasted so much better than normal.
So glad we bumped into you on Saturday - next purchase will be a roasting plank for the oven.

'I spent a lovely day with Greta , Outdoor Manager, as we barbecued together using a range of Weber BBQs.
I cooked up some wonderful woodies recipes including Pineapple and Blueberry wrapped in Beech Wood Paper , a lot of people were impressed by the possibilities of cooking delicious desserts on their BBQ.
There were a few kids at the Garden Centre and it was fun handing out tasters of Homemade Beefburger steamed on an Oak BBQ Plank for them. Many if them tried the wood steamed mushrooms and loved mushrooms for the first time ! '
